Madame Figaro launch event

This fashion magazine had a party tonight at Park97, also known as Muse 3, which I had to attend in order to represent P1.cn - an exclusive members-only social networking platform aimed for the stylish locals.

Free flow champagne, wine, cocktails - I don’t complain. Later on brownies, fruit platters, salmon canapés, mozarella with tomatoes were served for everyone.

Later on clothes from designers such as Martin Margiela, Junya Watanabe were shown by the models.

Met some cool people, especially one girl who called me when I forgot my camera there! Thank you, Barbie (that was her name).

Drinking Orange Juice, promise!

Those photos are from my camera, wait til the professionals ones are out. MUCH better than those amateurish ones, hehe..

Chinese SPA experience

Ok, I don’t know if I should laugh or cry...

The girl who was scrubbing said I had a quite nice body, because I had a small waist. And then she lift the towel to my legs, she said: Wow, you’re calves are so big! Why are they so big? If they were smaller you would be closer to perfection.

And then when it was time for the upper body, it was not so pleasant anymore. She touched my chest!!! And the worst thing is that she said, youre chest is a bit swollen and when feeling them I can sense some unevenness. This could lead to breastcancer.

WTF!?!??!?!?!?

And then she said that there are even some young people around 30 who get that, BUT I AM NOT EVEN 23 yet!!!!!!!!!!

:’(           :’(              :’(

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.....................

Then she suggested that I should regulary go and massage my chest. Which I feel really uncomfortable with!!!!!!!!

Constellation 2 after-work. Went there to meet up a friend of mine. They have funny toilets. I tried the front cleaning and couldn’t stop laughing.

Tomorrow morning I’m using my Everlasting SPA coupon to scrub my sins away!!!

Welcome to my crib

Chocolate dream

You already know that HOF is my favourite place, so you know that I can’t stop raving about it!

Here’s the menu and I have dotted the things I have tried out, hehe

What to choose!?!?

My friend had the Orange Mud Cake with sea salt, and it was amaaaaaaazing. And then I took a bite of my Vanilla, Mocha and Praline Delice, and I died... And came to heaven. That is HOW FRIGGIN AMAZING it was. 30 rmb to come to heaven!

(THE cake)

Taking photos of our stuff! Thats what bloggers do all the time...

Anyways, later on we met Bryan, the Singaporean manager of the place and he made us feel so welcoming. He gave us a frozen margaritha that used neutrigens (huh?) that was -180 celsius degrees!! It was that cold, so we couldn’t even touch the glass, and just have to wait til it started to melt. Apparently this drink is not in the menu, but they are going to compete with it in a National Bartender Contest. Afterwards he also let us try their German stollen bread which wasn’t as dry as all the other stollenbread I have eaten, this one was actually good!!! I think Bryan knows that I’m a dedicated customer to Hof haha. My plan is to try out the whole menu :-P, well, at least the chocolate cakes!

THE frozen margaritha (strong, which is just how I like it)
Shanghai Surprise, it sizzles in your mouth :-D

Living in a pink fantasy world

You know what?

There’s nothing better than to enjoy life, which means enjoy good company, good food especially good desserts, and good environment. I experienced this at the Barbie Store tonight.

Thank god for good friends!

3 small pieces of cakes + 1 drink = 45 rmb

Totally affordable! You can choose from white chocolate mousse (my fav), tiny cute cupcakes, chocolate-dipped oreos, lemon tarts, chocolate-dipped marshmallows, etc. My tiramisu latte was pretty awesome, especially the creme on top with candy bites. Yum Yum!

Huaihai Middle Lu 550, near Chengdu Nan Lu, 5th floor

Afterwards, we went to Brick because Hof was all occupied (make sure to make a reservation for Weekend nights). You can buy a bottle of white wine for less than 100 rmb. It’s open until 2am.

WANTED!

On Nanjing Xi Lu between Jingansi and Portmans.

They are looking for Talk girls! I need a job after NYE!!!!!

Sushi for dinner

When time is around 9pm just outside Carrefour (next to KFC) in Zhongshan Park, the sushi is half price which means you can get GREAT deals!

I love the sushi here, it’s really good and juicy. 13 kuai for my 5 big pieces

By the way guys, what do you think of my blog banner?

Only 11 days left til my new blog launch, as a reader pointed out! ;-)

Skinny tip: Leave the noodles :-P

I have so many ideas running around in my mind

I think my New Years Resolution will be, besides from my small coming project. I am going to write down all my ideas that I suddenly come up with in a beautiful notebook. The ideas concludes of business ideas, design, synopsis, imaginations, etc.

I will tell my readers one, and it's a synopsis.

3 Shanghai girls, 3 dreams.

One girl sells her body as an income to prove to her sick mother that she has a successful job. Another girl lives off from her wealthy boyfriend and lives in a mafia world. And at last a girl who works for a wellknown lawfirm. All those women fight with their morals. Of course those three different destinies will also be linked to eachother in the end...

mwahahahhaha, would you want to read this book?

Haiku by Hatsune

Oh so creative and so simple to do by yourself (the green paper with the pink bow)
Their sushi rolls are the best. This is Motorola Rolls, one of the best. They were gentle with the avocado and fish pieces. Awesome! Definitely the best sushi rolls that I have ever had!
Fried tofu, it was sooooooo yummy!!! I’m not the biggest fan of tofu but this was seriously awesome!!!
Mackrill, it was supergood and juicy, maybe slightly too salty...but still, the first bite was heaven!
Cho Suba (not sure how to spell), came in on a big bowl of ice, it was OK...I’m not a big fan of noodles so I wasn’t impressed, I rather order in another sushi roll! Because they were the best!
Free dessert, it was OK, satisfying after the meal.
Love Japanese minimalism!
Make sure you don’t walk into the wrong bathroom though!

I want to go there again just to have a couple of drinks and eat their sushi rolls!

Strawberry fields, Banana trees

10 kuai, no sugar or chemicals added. Just pure strawberry and banana. Welcome to Heaven. Found on Wujiang Food Street.

I’m so happy I bought this jacket, it really warms me up!

Btw, all you people who thinks that I am a spoiled brat, I only spend 60 kuai a day! Including a 5km taxiride, lunch and dinner!

Barbie inspiration

For those of you who still haven’t decided what to wear for my Barbie Party...

As a little child I dreamed of being a young adult, not so that I could live by myself or stay up as late as I wanted, but just so I could dress like Barbie.
And it seems that my dreams might soon become a reality! ^_^

Sad...

Pretty sad how women in China, especially in big cities, are so desperate to find a lifepartner.

Also it’s sad how much money plays a majority part in this circus...

When I marry I wouldn’t mind if we did a prenup. I would also think it would be fair to have separate bank accounts. Meaning I can still buy my Marni shoes (with my own money) !!! ^_^

Picture: The book’s front page says, How to always make your husband spoil you.

Second front page says, Women's main point of life is to find a good partner.

No I didn't buy those books...

Shopping f-r-e-a-k

Lace top with puff shoulders! Sweeeeet, and you can’t even imagine how much it cost!!!

Besides this, I bought a winter hat, tanktop and UGGS.

Pssst, I also bought THE dress for my Birthday Party, it’s totally freaky and weird but I kind of like it, haha.

Sorry, this is not a fashion blog and will never be.

Coffee

I never buy black coffee, I always do mocha or cappuccino because I love sugar.

Anyway, today I bought a Mocha from McCafe (McDonald’s luxury brand), and it was amazingly good! 13 kuai for a small cup (which does hurt for my wallet, but at least cheaper than Starbucks.)

So, why does Starbucks charge much more, except for the brand? Because, at Starbucks you can be a diva. You could simply act like this.

- Hey I would like a Vanilla Latte with less vanilla powder, 50% skimmilk 50% soymilk, oh and decaf on that.

If you are a diva, then go and buy Starbucks. If you are a regular person who just go for the regular coffee, you would simply be satisfied with Cafe 85 or McCafé’s coffee.

But then again, we all want to be divas some times, isn’t that why you read my blog ;-)

Bor: Shanghai/Stockholm
Om mig: I'm an overseas Chinese. I moved to Sweden when I was four years old. I'm currently taking a Master of Business and Economics in Stockholm's University. I would love to work in Shanghai in the future, to be a link between Sweden and China. My passions in life are music (electro/house), high heels and desserts. Apart from all this I'm just an average girl who enjoys the simplicity of life, and struggles with the scale just like any other girl. SIYANYU87@HOTMAIL.COM
