It’s time for me to take a break. Maybe I’ll be back once I figured my life out a bit, there is still so many things i wanna write about, but I just don’t have the motivation right now. Maybe I’ll come back and maybe I won’t...One thing is for sure tho, I’ve gotten to know so many people thru this blog and I’m so grateful for that, maybe I’ll be lucky enough to meet some of you in real life some day, but for now, in true California fashion:

Honestly, let's not lie to each other, it hasn't been the same lately. Me and the blog just don't click anymore... maybe it's time to end it.

Wow, this is basically the first Saturday I've had off since I started working in retail (nobody gets Saturdays off). Granted, I'm still sick and have no voice, but hey, it's still a big deal!

Of course today I've just rested, watched 3 Harry Potter movies (yes, I recently read all the books and I love them!) and over-dosed on pears :) What a combo!

I'm so sick today :( Sore throat and a fever so I barely got any sleep...Had to call out from work which means that this weeks paycheck is gonna suck...

Buuut, enough complaining! There is still a lot to be excited about :)

I haven't been able to get in to my blog in 5 days!!! What the heck has been going on with Metrobloggen??

Anyways... This has been a week of waiting and frustration, but I finally found out that my my CT-scan is normal, so thankfully I have a healthy brain :) I went back to my neurologist yesterday and he said that most likely this is what I was diagnosed with a year ago, migraine. Which is a huge relief! I felt like I was walking on air yesterday :)

Having the CT.scan done was proably one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever done. Not painful, just uncomfortable *yuck*

Today I went to have the first tests done on my lunchbreak, conveniently, the lab is just a couple of blocks away *yaaay*

Just a bunch of bloodwork for now and tomorrow morning (early before work *zzzzz*) I have to go for a CT-scan of my brain and I suspect it'll be just as cozy as it sounds...

So this weekend we didn't really do much, Sunday was spent relaxing and cleaning up the apt. and Monday was spent at the doctors office. It was like something out of a sitcom cause it was not only me who was going to the doctor it was H and his parents too! You have no idea how hard it was getting an appt for 4 people (and spelling their Cambodian names for the girl on the phone) but we did it :)

At the doctor we decided that we need to take a more aggressive approach to my symptoms so these next to weeks are going to be filled with tests and stuff...Fun...

So yesterday at work we had a discussion about housewives. In America it seems to be a lot more common for the wife and/or mother to stay at home, while in Sweden, I can't actually think of anyone that is a stay at home mom and that includes my friends with kids as well as my mom's friends.

Now, I have had a job since I was 15 and I'm happy that my parents raised me to work for my money, it taught me a lot of responsibility and prepared me for the adult life, all fine and good.

However... After working full-time for 2 years in the high pressure field that is high-end retail, I find that I don't like it. When I was working part-time I had time to take care of our apartment and the animals, work out and de-stress. Do I sound like a spoiled housewife? I beg your pardon, but is it a crime to want to spend my time cleaning, baking and taking care of myself and my family? I know there are people who do it all (my parents are two of them), but if I can't, am I a failure or just normal? Has it become tabu to want be a housewife? I don't consider myself spoiled nor lazy but yet this is the life that I prefer.

I don't see myself working full-time, taking care of my kids and 4 animals, having to worry about our home being a mess and that I can't get a single moment to myself to think about nothing at all, and in today's society, are we even allowed to stop and breathe without sprinting towards the next project?

I admire my parents more and more when I think about what they must have been going through when me and my brother were groing up, cause they really did it all (goodness knows how!) and I just hope that they were happy doing it, but I don't think it's for me...

I would love to hear your opinions on this subject!

How much do I wanna go home right now? Hella lot...

Me and hubby have been sick with a cold all weekend. It's not too bad, we're just sick enought to stay home an extra day from work, but not too sick to watch a bunch of movies and eat cheesecake (which is obviously the best cure). Anyway, another thing to pass time while I'm sick is reading all the blogs I don't have time for on an everyday basis and today I was re-reading one of my favorites, Bloggfrossa! L-o-v-e h-i-m! If you have never read his blog I demand you go to his top 5 entries and read "Netto", now! The first time I read that one, I laughed so hard I was laying in a sobbing pile over my desk...

Damn, it can literally go weeks without me seeing a celeb (even tho it is LA) but this week has just been insane! First Bruce Willis comes in to Prada with his daughter Tallulah, the day after, Christina Milian (remember AM to PM?) came in to look for an outfit for the Grammys.

Then there was the "90210" crowd shooting right outsider the storeand today one of the "Girls next door" (Hugh Hefners girlfriends), Bridget Marquardt came in and I do apologize for saying this (as she seems like a very nice girl), but she looked like s**t! I couldn't believe it, she looked so haggard, tired and old I arely recognized her!

Another old-looking celeb who shopped at Prada today was...Duffy! I really liked "Mercy". but meeting this woman, who is merely a year older than me, shook me to the core and made me really wanna take care of myself and my skin cause she seriously looked 45!!!

And to top it all of, I went to Whole Foods on my lunch break and whose there if not Bruce Willis (twice in one week!) laughing, joking and making out with a girl just looking slightly older than his daughters... Oh well, not my issue...

So all day yesterday they were shooting the new "90210" on the streets around work and everywhere we tried to walk there were guards asking us to walk on the other side of the street so we wouldn't be in the way.

In other news, the rain has been pouring down for the last couple of days and I've managed to brake 2 umbrellas...

Wow, 2 days off goes by so fast! Yesterday me and hubby just went for a long walk (over 4 hours!) and ate at a great little restaurant over by our old apt. And today hubby was running errands and visiting his parents while I took the opportunity to really clean the apartment and above all, my closet! I dont like doing this when hubby is home because 1) I make a complete mess of everything and 2) He'll actually see how much clothes I have... yeah... it's alright otherwise cause we have separate closets but even I am constantly surprised at the enormous amount once I have it all out...

Anyway, all sorted thru and I am donating 3 huge bags to charity and I have 4 bags of stuff that I was thinking about selling here :) So hopefully I'll get that up by the end of the week.

Yesterday was my hubbys 30th birthday, hurray!!! We celebrated  at his parents place with some really yummy food and lots of laugh, the best way to celebrate a birthday in my opinion :) He got clothes, dvd:s, money and, from me and my family he got a weekend trip to San Francisco!!! I think it's gonna be amazing, we'll stay in a really nice hotel and just enjoy ourselves and relax, we sure need it after this winter...

Ok, so I don’t know how I could have possibly forget to tell you this (I guess life got in the way), but those of you who know me, know that ever since I saw Mamma Mia (the musical in Sweden), the soundtrack has been constantly playing in my Ipod and when I heard they were making it into a movie, I flipped! I was so excited! And of course it didn’t hurt that they chose Stellan Skarsgard (a little wave for the Swedish pride, please) to play Bill :)

Oh oh, and for those of you who don’t know; the company H works for built Tom Hanks’ car and H does maintnence on it from time to time, aaaand Tom’s production company Playtone actually produced Mamma Mia...

Right, that’s the background story. So the other day, H walks in the door with a big smile on his face...

Me (a little suspicious, last time he had that smile he spent half a fortune on camera gear and the time before that we ended up with another dog): "Whaaaat?"

H (a little guilty but mostly happy): I might have mentioned to Sooki (Tom’s assistant) that you’re crazy about Mamma Mia and I think she mentioned it to Tom...

Me: Aha...(like I’m the only one? The world is in love with this movie)

H: And he gave us this

And he hands me a signed copy of the DVD!!!

Ok, I admit it...I did a little dance...I was just so happy :)

Right now, my heart beats with gratitude for Sooki and Tom, they have completely saved my year, not to mention maaaany lazy afternoons (and some not so lazy were I sing a long to and dance to all the songs, but my hubby doesn’t know I’m quite that crazy about the movie *sshh*)

OMG!!! All of a sudden, everything started rattling around, shampoo-bottles were falling down and the animals started whining. Apparently the epicenter was just a couple of miles away from our apt (so I'm really happy it wasn't a big one!) Just another day in Cali...

..and I decided to ease back into the sugar-zone. Make no mistake, this doesn't mean buying a bag of candy and devouring it, more like putting ketchup on my hot dog and having half a aquare of chocolate on Saturday. But hey, it's the little things in life you need to enjoy right? :)

I wasn’t the only one gasping for air when these Balmain studded sandals hit the runway, but few of us can afford the $1800 price tag :(

Luckily for us, ALDO is always one step ahead! They made 2 different versions of this shoe, one a little less extreme than the other, but they are pretty darn close to the original, no? And for less than 1/10 of the price (both styles are priced at $125!) who can complain?

Wow, today it's been 26 degrees and a perfectly blue sky! I know people think that it's always sunny in Philadelphia, sorry, California :) But it's been pretty cold for the past couple of months, down to 8 C, so this is more than welcome.

Anyway, I started the day by taking a looong walk with the doggies (5 blocks is long for a tiny chihuahua) after that I went for a refreshing run and it was so great getting out again :) After a nice shower, me and hubby went out for a 3 hour walk including stopping by the pet adoption center where we got Tussi (no new dog for us today tho) and picking up food from our fav pasta place.

In short, another amazing day with hubby :) <3

No more negative thoughts for a while :) Lots of stuff going on, but I don't want to say anything until it's all said and done. Goodnight folks!

...tonight I had my first crash in over 2 weeks. My blood pressure dropped down to 78/49 and I went into the shade. Goodnight.
