Playing in the snow
Today we went out to play in the snow. There is more than usual right now so we wanted to take advantage of it. It's a lot of fun, just look at out smiles!

Then I went on what the Swedes call "pulka". It's like a plastic sled for kids. But even us adults can have fun with it.

Benjamin who's crazy about all sports and good at many also has been snowboarding for many years. This picture show's he's pretty good even though I'm afraid he'll get hurt performing such stunts (this is a very small jump compared to the real ones).

Hey, I have to try too. It's hard, but I think I could get it if I wanted to. Just look at my pro-pose!

I decided to take a rest. It's soft like my bed but not as warm.

The landscape is absolutely amazing. It's so beautiful to look at. The trees are covered with white clouds.

Autumn in Stockholm
Now it's officially autumn in Stockholm. One mark of autumn is that the leaves fall off trees and the leaves also turn yellow or red. It's a very beautiful time of the year according to me. The temperatures are quite low as winter is fast approaching.
Took some pictures!

Lovely wedding we attended
There are lots people from different parts of the world in Stockholm. We attended a wedding the other day of a lovely lady and dear friend of ours originally from central America who was getting married to our Swedish friend. The wedding was a mix of both cultures and we danced alot. Here’s a look!

Isn’t she lovely!

That's all I could share with you. There's a problem with my system here so the pictures are not the best but you do get the idea. It will be better next time.
Camping in the wild!
We decided to make use of the few summer days left by going camping at an island outside Stockholm. Boy, didn't we have fun! Have a look.

Going for adventure.

The only ones who dared come along.

We hired kayaks at a place called Dalarö and then rowed for 1½ hours to a small island where no one lives.

Once we arrived we set up our tents before it got too dark.

Getting cosy in our sleeping bags in our tent after having a lovely barbecue.

Bacon never tasted better.

The sea is beautiful! Don't mind the funny dressing.
It's all in the name of safety.

Don't we look relaxed and ready to go back to work!
IN THE QUEEN'S LAND
We took a little trip away from Sweden. We went to the land of Her Majesty The Queen. It was very successful. Managed to do some sightseeing. Here’s some highlights. Enjoy!

Was fun on the double-decker buses

We met a lovely Kenyan sister who invited us home for dinner. We felt as if we were in Nairobi when we tasted what she had prepared for us. She had cooked most of the Kenyan specialities.

Ever tried Camel chocolate?
Did you know that a renowned chocolate company in Dubai has started making a new product namely, camel chocolate. This is because camel milk has more vitamins and contains less fat and lactose.
The chocolates will be sold in exclusive shops and hotels and well as on their online shop. So take a peek. www.al-nasma.com/
I'm thinking of supplying the chocos to Kenya. Do you think there's a good market for that?

Time for home-made pizza.
It’s very common that people buy take-away pizza when they don’t feel like cooking dinner. It’s normally reasonably priced and the pizzerias are everywhere. So you can just buy one on the way home. Infact many pizzerias deliver the pizza to your home if you want.
The other day we decided to make home-made pizza with my hubby. It was really yummy! Maybe you want to make one too.

We bought ready made pizza dough(very cheap, available at most Ica supermarkets). The tomato sauce is included.
The topping included:
400g Spiced minced meat
2 Capsicums
1 Red onion
100g Mushrooms
50g Green olives
1 packet Feta cheese
1 tomato(sliced)
Try this recipe sometime and tell me how it turned out.
Fresh Swedish strawberries!
One of the highlights of the summer when it comes to fruits is strawberries. We all look forward to that. We also look forward to the open-air markets where we can buy fresh vegetables and other seasonal fruits. Oh how we love the summer in Sweden!
Here's how the open-air markets look like:

These are the sweet scented swedish strawberries that we normally eagerly await.

The variety of fresh vegetables available.
These markets are open as long as it is warm enough to be outside. That's up to roughly October.
At the beach at night ie 8.30pm
Well after that rough start to my day I decided to relax a bit. So together with some friends we went to a nearby park in a place called Farsta. We grilled some sausages and had a couple of beers. The men decided to go fishing but it seems the fish had gone on holiday.
The weather was nice so it was relaxing to sit on the beach and talk. The scenery was nice as usual. Here's some nice highlights. Enjoy!

Colourful flowers!

By the way this is at 8.30pm. The sun almost never sets in summer.
